What if?

***Warning***

This is not a traditional blog post.  There are no tips or tricks.  Instead, a series of questions.  Questions to illustrate, explore, and wonder a little more.

So, for the curious ones.  The readers that don’t mind sitting with great mysteries, a squint in their eyes, and a chin resting in hand please go on.

What if you could be described as strong and not stifled by it?

What if you did not have to downplay your feelings or monitor your responses?

What if resilience meant more than flawlessness?

We carry so much, we hold it all together, we show strength even when weak, but what would the world be like if we set it down, came a little unglued, and embraced support?

What would happen if you really allowed yourself the space to be, to let go of the pretense, to unmask, to share the pain, to ask the questions, to admit there are cracks in your sculpted beauty?

How would you feel?

Would it be too real, too far from the stereotype, leave you exposed?

Might it free you, bring the pieces together, relieve the pressure?

Would you think less of yourself if you were not synonymous with security, indestructibility, fortitude?

Could you be human in their eyes, a receiver of support rather than just a giver?

No answers here…merely questions.  Here’s another.

What if it was possible?  Would you be ready?

With love,
